According to a recent forecast by Cisco, mobile data traffic will increase 18 times over a period from 2011 to 2016 and growth rate of 130 exabytes of data annually, more than 3 times the growth rate up fixed amount of data. Number of connected devices is predicted to surpass the total world population in 2016 with the mobile data traffic by 10.8 exabytes per month.
Cisco also forecast growth data Asia-Pacific region is 21 times between 2011 and 2016, reaching an annual growth rate (CAGR) of 84%.
