The dream of the elimination of all barriers of language may soon become reality when the engineers at Microsoft are building a technology with voice recognition function, then direct translation into a language that voice other.
This new technology is currently being built by Frank Soong, Microsoft's software engineers, in collaboration with Microsoft Research Asia research department, research department's No. 2 software by Microsoft, based in Beijing, China National.
"Our technology will identify the language of the voice, then translated that conversation and finally extract the contents of the new language, but also by the tone of people have said" - Soong explained mechanism of action of its software.
According to Soong, its technology can be used to build the software used to support students in learning new languages, as well as helping the traveler in the transformation of the international language schedule abroad. Soong hoped to soon integrate this technology into the mobile application to help users could more easily use anywhere.
Soong said that this technology is being built to support conversion between 26 different languages, including English, Mandarin, Spanish, Italian ... time Microsoft has not said when this technology construction will be completed and will be widely applied.
Previously, Google also provides features content from voice service to a different language in its Translate service, however the results obtained after voice services is entered as text only, not dialogue as a technology that Microsoft is developing.
